Construction of pGTλ3758ΔH

Parent plasmid pGTλ3758 is a recombinant plasmid, created in the Simple Cloning Lab.
It is one of the pGTλ clones from the Lambda library, and contains the 3758 bp BamHI - EcoRI fragment from lambda DNA.

The mutant called pGTλ3758ΔH is pGTλ3758 from which the small Hind III fragment (a part of the Lambda insert)  is deleted. So, ΔH stands in this case for: "without Hind III fragment".
It is an example of how you can create deletion mutants by making use of restriction sites.

The construction of pGTλ3758ΔH starts with growing a culture of a pGTλ3758 clone ...

The steps can be done simultaneously with those of the library construction
