About the webportal
The Bioinformatics Webportal provides access to webbased information services
for bioinformaticians and scientists working in life sciences.
The webportal aims to
facilitate easy access to information, data, software and services available
locally at WUR, as well as remotely through the Internet.
Within the portal:
- Homepages of Wageningen University Laboratory of Bioinformatics
Information about the people, the research, seminars, student thesis
projects and more...
- Tools
Access to many of the bioinformatics tools that run on the Wageningen
Bioinformatics servers maintained by the Laboratory of Bioinformatics.
- Bioinformatics Background
Webpages with history and background information about bioinformatics.
These pages contain introductory information and serve as a reference as well.

- The Bioinformatics Information Gateway
An information gateway provides access to selected electronic sources
(websites, databases, pdf's etc). Sources are selected based on scope,
usefulness and quality. A catalogue that can be browsed or searched
provides descriptive information about the selected sources, including
keywords, abstract, etc. The Bioinformatics Information Gateway
is a joint effort of the Bioinformatics Group and the library
of Wageningen University to build up an e-library
in the field of (plant) bioinformatics. To search for bioinformatics

- Bioinformatics Events Database
This database with information
on courses, symposia and events in the field of bioinformatics
and genomics can now be searched on www.geneyous.nl.
